AFTERCARE BALM + MOISTURE

Accepted Answer

• Use only the healing balm or aftercare product approved for your treatment.• Apply a very thin layer rather than coating the lips heavily.• More product is not necessarily better. Excess product can create unnecessary buildup over healing skin.• Apply aftercare with clean hands or a clean disposable applicator.• Do not share your aftercare product with anyone.• Avoid fragranced or irritating products on freshly treated lips.• Do not add oils, masks, exfoliators, plumping products, or home remedies during early healing.

FOOD & DRINKS

FLAKING + DRYNESS

Accepted Answer

• Expect some dryness or light flaking as the surface heals.• Do not pick.• Do not peel loose skin.• Do not bite dry skin from your lips.• Do not scrub the lips to make flaking disappear faster.• Do not use a lip scrub or exfoliating treatment.• Allow dry or flaking skin to release naturally.• Continue treating the area gently even if the lips begin looking healed on the surface.

EXERCISE, WATER + HEAT

MAKEUP + LIP PRODUCTS

• Avoid lipstick on freshly treated lips.• Avoid lip gloss until the surface has healed sufficiently.• Avoid lip plumpers.• Avoid lip scrubs and exfoliating products.• Avoid introducing active skincare directly around the healing lip border.• Don't use unapproved cosmetic products simply to cover dryness or temporary color changes.• Keep makeup tools and applicators away from freshly treated skin.• Once the surface has healed, reintroduce your normal lip routine gradually rather than aggressively exfoliating the area.

SUN EXPOSURE
